The ‘Nicosia Jazz Festival in Stasikratous’ is certainly the biggest musical jazz event of the year in Cyprus.

Unwind under the breezy Nicosia summer sky to the mesmerizing jazz melodies of well renowned international and local jazz groups who will come together for only two live concert performances to create a unique cultural hybrid of rhythmic jazz fusions, within an ambiance of sophistication and elegance in Nicosia’s high brand street ‘Stasikratous’. The jazz soaring melodies will travel you across the Mediterranean to a dreamlike world less explored of movement, freedom and travelling musicians in market squares of the orient, the west and the south.

The “Nicosia Jazz Festival” ended on a note of success, leaving all with a taste for more to come…The atmosphere was superb under the lit up breezy sky of Nicosia. Lots of people, who share a passion for music, showed up and enjoyed the live concert performances. The rain deprived us of a day , nevertheless the bands performed over the afternoon of the following day before their evening performance, jazzing up the city centre street and creating a fun & lively atmosphere.

It was great seeing the Cyprus Volunteer Doctors in action and full of initiatives, giving us all confidence for investing our efforts in their worthwhile cause. The photographic exhibition of their “MISSIONS” was magnificent! The volunteers of the VAGONI AGAPIS charity got the opportunity to inform the public of their endeavours and to reach out to more people for support in their admirable charitable cause.
